Your privacy is very important to Ray of Hope Inc. (“Ray of Hope” or “we” or “us” or “our”). We provide this statement in order to help you understand how we collect and use the personal information you share with us. This policy regarding our privacy practices (this “Privacy Policy”) describes how we treat the information we collect when you visit and/or use the Site. When doing so, you also consent to the collection, transfer, storage other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy – please read it carefully.

Depending upon your reason for using the Site, we may ask you for certain personally identifiable information (“PII”), such as your name, email address, telephone number and/or credit card information. Individuals who wish to register for Ray of Hope’s support sessions shall be required to provide more PII. The information is submitted voluntarily by you, if you elect to provide us with the information. Ray of Hope will retain your PII to provide the services that you request, or as otherwise required by law.

This Privacy Policy applies to all PII submitted by you whether online, via telephone, regular mail or in person. Notice of all changes that materially affect ways in which PII may be used or shared will be posted in updates to this Privacy Policy, and continued use of the Site shall be deemed your consent to any such changes.

PII shall not include any personal information posted, shared or sent by you in any public forum (such as a message board) on the Site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information provided by you to third parties or on sites operated by third parties that Ray of Hope does not control. In order to prevent unauthorized access and protect your PII, Ray of Hope has put in place commercially reasonable electronic safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the PII you provide us. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your PII, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information nor can we guarantee that information you supply to use will not be intercepted while in transit to us over the internet.

Ray of Hope is committed to respecting the privacy of donors. Therefore, we do not sell, trade, or share mailing lists of our donors or participants’ personal information to any third party, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Your name, address, phone number, or credit card information will not be used outside of our organization. We will only share personal information once a donor has given Ray of Hope specific permission to do so. A donor may choose to remain an anonymous donor at any time. Information Collected

High grade encryption and https security protocols are used in collecting personal information. Ray of Hope only collects information volunteered by you during your communication or transaction with us. Examples of information collected include: name, address, phone, email address, and giving history.

How We Use That Information

Ray of Hope uses personal information (a) to acknowledge and provide a tax receipt for donations, (b) to respond to donor inquiries or questions about our services, and (c) as part of Ray of Hope’s internal recordkeeping.
